April Lockhart

April Lockhart, born in 1995 on the 4th of July, started taking piano and guitar lessons from age seven. She was interested in songwriting was awakened. In April, when she was 12 years old She composed her debut single Different. When she was 14 April spent a lot of time in writing song ideas and practicing her musical skills. Then, she began taking trips to NY and LA along with her dad to help them compose songs. April also began incorporating various other topics relevant to the Take my Hand song for some close friends, like peer pressure issues and suicide among teens. Lockhart has become a sought-after lifestyle influencer, as well as working in partnerships with clean-cut beauty brands Ilia she has gained her own following. She was not born having a left-handed hand, which is the reason she's the person she is. But that's far from all the facts. So, Lockhart's Instagram profile doesn't shy away from her disabilities, yet it doesn't center around it neither. What is the message? It's crucial to understand that each of us has numerous faces. Our identities are varied and we're beyond our body. Lockhart has stated on video that she didn't want to be defined by her physical disability. She doesn't wish to become an advocate for disabled people who only talks about disability. There are a variety of aspects of Lockhart. My everyday life isn't affected by it. I go about my regular, everyday life and find my own solutions to issues. This is a major element of my life and it's imperative to discuss it. Lockhart inspires us to keep striving to be self-accepting. Yet, she confesses having moments of feeling uneasy about her appearance, and the clothes that showed her arms. Now, though she dons what she's comfortable in and post images of her outfits to social media, she is proud of herself. To her, self-love was always a lengthy journey. This is a process, and I'm not sure you'll ever reach your destination. People you associate yourself with that truly understand you, and can see through your eyes are the best people to remind you of what you're worrying about.
